Tomasz Gzyl, PhD student from the Department of Experimental Physics, recognized by an international publishing house

Our PhD student, Tomasz Gzyl, published an article in the prestigious ACS Publications, a global publishing house whose authors come from the best research centers in the world.

The article Enhanced Photon Extraction through Optimized Waveguide Geometry for Zincblende InAsP/InP Nanowire Quantum Dots Emitting in the Telecom Range was published in the ACS Applied Nano Materials journal and was written under the supervision of Dr. Anna Musiał, who is the co-supervisor of Tomasz Gzyl’s thesis (the main supervisor is Dr. Wojciech Rudno-Rudziński).

This article is part of research conducted at Wrocław University of Science and Technology as part of the European project QCEED: Quantum Dot Coupling Engineering (and Dynamic Spin Decoupling/Deep Nuclei Cooling): 2-Dimensional Cluster State Generation for Quantum Information Processing). The research is led by Prof. Grzegorz Sęk, and the international consortium is coordinated by Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork, Ireland.

ACS Publications is a prestigious publishing house of the American Chemical Society. It is considered one of the most authoritative scientific publishers in the world. Although its name suggests chemical sciences, ACS also publishes journals for physics, particularly in areas such as chemical and molecular physics, nanotechnology (ACS Nano/Nano Letters), materials science and solid-state physics, and photovoltaics.

Congratulations!!
