Szymon Zelewski on the list of honorees by National Geographic Magazine!
Dr. Szymon Zelewski from the Department of Experimental Physics, has joined the ranks of 24 scientists recognized by National Geographic Magazine Poland. The list includes researchers from across Poland who are changing the way we understand the world.
Szymon’s research focuses on understanding the fundamental physical processes that determine the efficiency of devices such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), photovoltaic cells, and optical sensors.
Dr. Szymon Zelewski leads two National Science Center projects: Sonata 19 and Opus 27. He is also developing his own research group, the Photothermal Research Laboratory, which conducts solid-state photothermal research. The laboratory boasts unique research stations on a national scale, built in part thanks to expertise gained during international research internships (at the University of Cambridge and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign).
