Grzegorz Sęk has been an editor of a special issue of Nanophotonics.

We are proud to announce that Professor Grzegorz Sęk, Head of the Department of Experimental Physics, has been appointed a guest editor of a special issue of Nanophotonics (Wiley).

The publications will be prepared as part of the conference that we are organising in May as part of the grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education: „3rd International Workshop on Telecom Quantum Dot non Classical Light Sources for Quantuit Communication – QDotCom”. The event, which will start on 6 May in building H-14, will be devoted to quantum communication, with particular emphasis on so-called quantum emitters based on semiconductor quantum dots, which are essential for the practical implementation of a quantum internet.

The conference programme is mainly addressed to young researchers working on quantum emitters. Over 70 people will participate in the event, including several eminent speakers from the world’s leading research centres, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada.
