Optical spectroscopy… but different: gas sensing with lasers

Lecture abstract:
The presentation will focus on the applications of photonics in the detection of trace amounts of gases. I will discuss how laser sources and hollow-core fibers can be effectively used in laser spectroscopy, with particular emphasis on the practical aspects of their use in gas emission measurements.
